My 2nd Self-Reflective Essay
Developing the idea of my 1st Self-Reflective Essay, now I can say that I make a step to find myself a lucky-dog As for my understandings, they haven t changed, they just get their proved explanation. I mean the scientists points of view. I can say that now I found out a lot of new things for me: blogs, wikis wikipedia and webquests. Now I can use ICQ, Skype propely ( shame on me the Internet was only a source of getting information, I didn t communicate through it). This course showed the real possibilities of using the Internet in teaching. I want to create blogs with my students. In fact this process has already begun. The only drawback is the access to the Internet, an average teacher hasn t an opportunity to work with the Internet.
I found the most useful information is given in “Toward a Theory of New Literacies Emerging From the Internet and other Information and Communication Technologies” by Donald J.Leu and others, Gunther Kress Reading Images: Multimodality, Representation and New Meadia
Also I would like to thank our teacher for patience and understanding, my group colleges for friendliness

Peer's Project Evaluation “Cinquain”
I think it would be better if students use different computer literacies while working at the project. Why not to give certain tasks before each link. Nevertheless the project is challenging, gives a good chance to experience one s language skills. The project possesses authenticity and quite suitable for English language teaching.

Peer's Project Evaluation “Cinquain”
First of all the topic of the project is quite extraordinary. It is not clear enough for who it is oriented, I mean the target audience. The idea is fresh, interesting, but the practical purpose is not obvious. It is rather creative task, and requires good knowledge of the English language.

This activity is aimed to develop spoken, written, and visual language to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences and for different purposes.
Sorry, I will finish a bit later.

Activity 1. Adress: http://nclrc.org/teaching_materials/materials_by_language/universal.html 1.The audience: School children from 6 to 16.The range of the native languages of the possible English learners is very great from Russian up to Chinese and Japanese. 2.The main activities are games aimed at revising and activating grammar, enlarging vocabulary. Unfortunately, the site itself is oriented to teachers of English as a foreign language? That’s why it suggests only usual classwork to students, though a bit different from the ordinary class activities. As to teachers, it provides them with means to exchange opinions, like forums and virtual classes to chat. 3. Positive moments: The site provides a good possibility for the teachers of English to communicate and improve their skills. 4. Negative moments: It would be much better if this site gave the same possibilities to children. Activity2. Adress: http://www.bv229.k12.ks.us/bvideas/resources/urbansprawl/wqprocess.htm 1.The audience: those who have just finished school, and High school students/ 2.The knowledge trained: Written English: grammar, spelling, knowledge of written styles Audition: listening to texts, writing short essays about the heard materials. Spoken English: preparation of speeches ( is usually done in case the working place of the student is equipped with the necessary the Internet). Psychological training: teaching to work in groups, creating common ideas and presenting them. General Education: acquaintance with Mega polis’s life, its economy and culture. 3.The main means of communication: For group work: e-mail, forums and blogs. To communicate with the teacher: e-mail, blogs 4.Positive aspects: high level of creativity, interesting presentation, complex way to train skills. The fact that the students know the type of the papers evaluation and the basic evaluation criteria is also very good. 5.Negative moments: I think it would be better if the students could first train each of the abilities separately, just to be prepared for working at such a great project as the one given here: to present a project of the way to survive in a big town. Generally speaking this type of activity is good for those who want to prepare themselves to live in a big town and it’s quite well arranged for the purposes announced. Activity3. Adress: http://www.instantprojects.org/webquest/evaluation.php?AuthorID=5738 The main aim of the Site arrangement: “The difficulty with learning any second language is actually in the details, the nuances of a language. While compulsory education in the Philippines includes English courses from day one, certain common mistakes continue to be made...this despite the speaker's possible mulit-year residency in the United States”. 1.The Audience : the foreigners coming to the United states with the intermediate or Upper –Intermediate knowledge of English? but having problems with grammar and pronunciation. 2..The knowledge trained: Spoken English: combatting with common mistakes. Audition: listening to a recorded text, distinguishing difficulties in pronunciation, making the list of difficulties found. Listening to a text, distinguishing mistakes in pronunciation and mistakes correction. Grammar: distinguishing mistakes in the listened text in the tense usage, voice forms/, mistakes correction. Written English: writing short text using correct tense and voice forms of verbs and using well spelled words. General Education: Learning the culture of Philadelphia and the Dialect of English spoken there. 3. Type of tuition: individual 4. Means of communication : e-mail, podcast, audiovisual means of the Internet communication. Positive aspects: preparation of foreigners to live in the United States( mainly those from Puerto-Rico, but this system may also be used by Russians)? As it gives much information about the live in the country and besides enlarges the vocabulary of the site users/ Negative aspects: The material given there doesn’t give any opportunity for group work, there is no blog work or any on-line conferences or seminars. Generally speaking, the site corresponds to the aims announced. I f we compare all the mentioned above sites, I can say that site is the best as it involves more means of Net communication than other two. Besides, there are more references to additional sites where to get the necessary information.

Having read all the articles about specific internet technologies I can say that they support the different language skills. For example we can use World Wide Web not only for developing reading skills, but also writing, listening and speaking .E-mail, blog, wiki not only for writing and reading. Chats, ICQ
are good not only for speaking( one can use audio and video messages) and writing.
So there are different possibilities of the Internet that may be useful in teaching of foreign languages. Lets take into our consideration webquest, as the most effective. Bernie Dodge said "a webquest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that the learners interact with comes from resources on the Internet". So it is good because it provides with an opportunity for authentic language learning.
A webquest has a clear stricture. It is easy to use, motivating, interesting and encouraging for students.
As for the requirements each webquest should contain:
1. Introduction
2. Task
3. Process
4. Evaluation
5. Conclusion
